When James and I first met Eliot Aitken - it was at our first and only Rundgren Radio Event in Akron, Ohio. As we were departing the party space Eliot and his wife, Michelle, walked up to us to introduce themselves as we all were clearly in the 1% as the youngest people at the gathering to celebrate the art of the wizard. They told us they were from Scotland, which really put into perspective the reach of Todd’s work - far out of James and I’s circle of listening in our basements drinking beer.

After connecting through social media I began to see into Eliot’s level of fandom for many artists but specifically when I started to notice his name more during the many hours spent scouring TRConnection looking for the Todd nuggets Zack and I thrive on and help us continue our conversation in the Toddcast Cleveland. Though he shares a similar passion for other virtuosos such Joe Satriani, Steve Vai and, of course, Frank Zappa. We gather here to discuss Eliot’s journey with Todd Rundgren and his music, as well as the many places the art and performance has taken him.

The Toddcast Cleveland started in 2019 in Cleveland, Ohio. Zack Wolfe and James Barney are both young, dedicated, and loving Todd Rundgren fans for all of the beautiful things he’s produced throughout his career. From his solo albums, music production work, his band Utopia, and his innovative progress in the music business. We decided to do this because we spent so much time discussing Todd and all of his work that he’s done and figured it would be cool to document it and share with all other Todd Rundgren fans around the world that might be interested. This podcast is just for fun and we hope you enjoy our thoughts and opinions on Todd’s expansive career.
